Are you interested in helping build your own home, learning new skills and seeking financial and construction support in the process?

Custer County deeded seven lots in Silver Cliff to the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments. Six qualified candidates are needed for the homes they will help build and own. Funding is provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program, families and individuals will work together to build their own homes. The group is assisted by a construction supervisor and USDA Rural Development to make that dream happen.
