May Day National Day of Action
BY THE NUMBERS
The billionaires are waging a war on working people—and on May Day, international workers’ day, hundreds of thousands of us stood together and stood strong, fighting for public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, shared prosperity over free market politics. Working people built this nation and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all Americans. Their time is up. Labor Day March: Workers Over Billionaires
Nationwide protesters, including 26 folks in Custer County (and more from their porches and cars) marched September 1, 2025, turning Labor Day into a day of action. Labor unions, grassroots organizers, and advocacy groups called out what they describe as a billionaire-driven “authoritarian, anti-worker agenda” under #DonaldTrump, with a focus on defending Social Security, healthcare, and workers’ rights. Signs and voices expressed concern over many issues.
